She was resident birder at Neal’s Lodges in Concan each spring for many years.

   She also wrote several books about birding, including 'The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird", "The Cardinal", “Birder’s Guide to Concan, TX” and an anthology titled, “I’d Rather Be Birding.”

    June will be sorely missed by everyone at Neal's. She left instructions about the bird feeders when she left last May and we will try to keep the birds as happy as she did.

       June was always happiest when she was showing others the joys of Birding.
